A really good start
Some constructive criticism - Please don't take it as negative. I really enjoyed the game so far:
Most of the enemies are what I would call "annoying" more than "challenging". Especially the bats that keep changing height to mess you up, the skeletons which have an enormous unfair hit box, and the worms that come out of the walls. Eventually it gets to a point where the player says "there is no benefit to fighting enemies, so I'll just run past them all". Exceptions are the Minotaur, which was a fun fight, and the wolves, which have a really fun mechanic where they run away and then get angry and charge at you.
The elemental power where you teleport back to a previous location... It's far from self explanatory, especially the fact that you can jump again once you teleport. This is fun and original, but needs explanation or tutorial.
The music and graphics are top notch, A+
Keep up the good work! I would love to see a more fleshed-out game where you control Leon and Finn too, using different abilities and taking different paths to meet up with Tabea.
Thanks a lot for the reply - constructive feedback like this is exactly what we need!
Loads of fun - recommended!
I love the pixelart and the retro-look. It's not just a platformer but has story too. Keep it up guys, can't wait to see more!
is there any way to change the default keyboard controls ? ive just downloaded the game and the keys are really awkward for me ...
i cant find anything in settings etc to allow them to be changed.
thanks !
There sadly isn't an option to fully remap keyboard controls yet, but we'll do it soon! We highly recommend playing with a controller anyway (if you have one). All standard controller are supported!
If you don't have one and the keyboard controls are not for you, just wait a bit for an update. Thanks!
no problem , thanks for the reply
It's a good game, love the art and basically the whole mood of the game
The combat mechanic could do some work and maybe a portrait of each character for the conversation.
looking forward to see more updates/improvement :D
Thank you for your feedback! More detailed portraits as well as slightly more polished main character animations are on the way!
What a great game! I want more than just a few hours. this could easily be a big game with 10h+ if you expand it
Thank you. We're glad you liked it!
